Anvil! The Story of Anvil
Well, with my recent viewing of Flight 666, I was recommended Anvil! The Story of Anvil. I had heard previously that I should watch the film as it is The Wrestler for metalheads and in the words of CJSR’s movie aficianado, Moving Radio’s Christian Zyp, “I saw the documentary and had to go to their show just to give them money.” I read a review in the New Yorker and now I simply must have a copy. Here is a quote from the New Yorker review,
“This film is not about rock music at all, still less about school lunches in Ontario, or unusual uses for vibrators; it is about time, and how it threatens to fade us out like a song on the radio, and why, risking ridicule, and leaning on love, we should crank up the volume and keep going. Whatever Lips maintains, not all has been said and done.”
